I couldn't bear seeing an empty forum section so.... I ask the question, what software can't you live without? Me:- O&O defrag Really comprehensive defragmenter for XP (64 bit available too). FFDShow All in one codec pack, more features than you can use. Ultramon - Great little app for managing multi monitor environments. Opera Nice, secure Web browser with tabbed browsing. Hey Maff, good idea ![]() How about compiling a list in the first post? My top pick would be PaintShopPro. It was taken over by Corel and I was afraid they would make it unusable like the CorelDraw series but it still has all the great features and some new ones too. It's great at editing photos and images, in particular reducing screencapture file size while maintaining image quality. PaintShopPro XI - Free trial version Most people here would probably have these programs already but every system I own would also have the following. CPU-Z Core Temp ATI Tool Rivatuner Memtest86+ SuperPi Aquamark 3DMark Memset Clockgen EDIT: XP Codec Pack is a good one too. |
