I'm a fairly slow adopter of Microsoft products, (and living on the bleeding edge of linux) but I think I've seen a fairly decent improvement in Vista recently, will probably purchase vista for my new pc.

I hated Vista when it was released. I hated it a lot. Now a days I use Vista Business 64-bit on my main PC (99.9% of time used for work but feats. SLI GTS 512MB cards... yeah, no logic in that ~_~) and over the last 2-3 weeks in particular I've found Vista to become a lot more stable and simply easier to work with. While I retain the notion that XP is a better operating system, especially for the large majority of benchmarks (but wPrime on Vista = win), I think Vista has come leaps and bounds from the rather pitiful state it was in upon it's release and the months following it. |

hehe that's why i waited till SP1 update before even trying Vista.. didn't need the headaches and hassles that pre-SP1 had ![]() For my 4GB+ memory testing been liking Vista Ultimate 64bit SP1 although 4+ GB testing takes ages to do properly compared to 2x1GB configs |
