I have an XFX XXX bios here that has the shader running @ 1500MHz

So it looks like some cards dont follow the findings that sTARk and FCG found ??

They do if they are standard cards generally.
Its when you get a company producing an OC version that they tweak the BIOS (usually the shader clock reduced for given GPU clock).
So for example with my card, at 600/950 (stock) the shader clock is one step lower than other cards at same clocks.

Pretty bottlenecked by the CPU still, only gained 100 points from 600 GPU's to 648!
