Hi guys, I've decided to push my E6750 o/c and have decided to get some Ballistix. The only thing I can't decide on is which speed. I'm using an Ultra 120 eXtreme as my CPU cooler and at 3.2 it's running pretty cool. I'm thinking of pushing the FSB up around the 450Mhz or higher mark. I'm about to order some Crucial Ballistix modules (2 x 1GB), but am trying to decide is it worth spending the extra $40 and go the PC2-8500 over the PC2-6400 or even as people say on OCAU, just stick with the PC2-5300 as it will reach the speeds I want easily?? |

Thanks for that Eva. I'll grab some PC2-5300 then and put the money saved towards a couple of Noctua or Scythe fans to keep the mobo nice and cool. I'm running a GB P35-DS3P in an Antec P180 so want to keep noise and heat to a minimum. Now off to the Extreme PC site .... ![]() Edit: Okay, got the above modules. Thanks Eva. I haven't had much chance to play with them but am currently running them at 450Mhz, 2.1V and 4.4.4.4 timings. I'm not sure if those timings are okay or not, but orthos seems stable after several hours. So far so good. |
