Flashed it back to the P5E bios, (with another fine stick) - put them all back in and tested individualy..... One of the Ballistix is dead........:'( Is there an Australian Crucial rma place? and what is the likelyhood of getting double sided ones back? |

Sorry to hear about the crucial ram ![]() No local RMA place unless you bought them locally in OZand modules are less than 12 months old. Very unlikely to get double sided modules back but the new revised 2nd ver single sided crucial do quite well on 5-5-5-15 side around 580-600mhz at low vdimm. But no much in way of 4-4-4-x probably around 440-450mhz. |

Oh - i thought they were really crap - these ones got to 1200mhz but no higher. What is low vdimm for you eva though? lol I got the ram about 2.5yrs ago from Nintek (now bankrupt....lost ~$240 in that also). Never sent anything overseas before...this will be new. Do i need to lodge a form or something on crucials site - never done this before.... Wonder why they died - spent most of there life at 2.1v and under HEAPS of cooling (own fan etc) |

low vdimm = 2.0-2.2v New rev version 2 single sided could be Micron D9JKH Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500 replacements I don't have any of the 2x1GB Crucial single sided so can't confirm, but the new rev 2x2GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500 with 80A clock much better than the early single sided replacements. Crucial RMA process i've only done once several years back for DDR1 ram. Process has changed so probably best to check the site out http://www.crucial.com/support/returns.aspx |

These sticks were DDR2 800/6400 - not 8500 So i would likely get 6400's back - heard anything one them? Thanks for the links.....just found out via the first one that my sticks were D9GMH's.....more bad news (model ends in 16FD3) Sending Crucial an email now regarding an RMA number |

I sent in the RMA, and got back the rma number. But i cannot make sense of the address. RMA Dept - RMA # 3475 E. Commercial Ct. Meridian, ID 83642 I emailed them back requesting a more "whole" address - link including country etc - unless someone knows it here? |
