Been messsing with this rig for a while now, awaiting my 7600GT. Today I decided to give this RAM some extra volts. System: AM2 3500+ (Orleans) 2.2GHz 512K L2 cache running at 11x240 = 2642MHz @ stock 1.35 volts (reads 1.375 in windows) prime stable. Arctic Freezer 64 (not pro) + thin layer of AS5. Gigabyte M55SLI-S4 Mainboard (nForce4 with dual 16x PCIe slots) 2x 512MB OCZ Value Pro PC5400 / DDR675 (sold as performance series) Seagate 160GB 7200.9 AcBel 450W 12cm Fan PSU. Rails are solid says my multimeter (12v = ~12.22, 5v = 5.02) 1 80mm front intake fan, 1x 80mm exhaust fan, 1x 92mm Zalman fan on fan bracket over the RAM (used to be over the chipset, but the front intake seems to be blowing on it anyway) With stock volts on this RAM (1.8v) I could hardly get over DDR700 stable. So I gradually tested with memtest +.1v each time. Quick results, they passed test5 memtest ~10 loops and booted to windows: 1.8v = Low DDR700 (below 730) 1.9v = DDR750+ 2.0v = ~DDR800 2.1v = currently at DDR880 Gripes (with this mainboard): Can't take the CPU much higher with this mainboard, HTT multi is BROKEN. I can only change it in windows with nTune. Have suicide run it to 2900+MHz very unstable at >1.5v. Can't wait to get a DFI AM2 board. Also the only memory settings I have are CAS (no other timings can be changed!) voltage 1.8-2.1v and dividers 400/533/667/800. Just doing DDR880 now, passed Super PI Mod 32M. Will look into changing it to 1T etc. and will finish off with an overnight Prime95 stress test. It aint no conroe but it cost about half as much as a basic conroe would |

8hours prime stable blend test yay. Turns out this mainboard doesn't even have the option to manually enable/disable command per clock! At stock frequency it runs at 1T, but at this frequency it felt the urge to go 2T...can't wait to get my hands on the Ultra II M2 when it hits our shores...
