Well it seems my OCZ PC8000 Titanium Alpha VX2 2GB OCZ PC2-8000 Titanium Alpha VX2 4-4-4-15 had a very old SPD programmed on it. So OCZ sent me the updated one which most retail modules already have Tony from OCZ sent me an updated SPD using SPDTool 0.55 from techpowerup.com. SPDTool thread at http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=20349 Question is what changed ? Here's the original older SPD (left) vs newer SPD (right): in SPDTool 0.55 ![]() in Thaiphoon 3.2 RC ![]() in CPUZ v1.38 ![]() Quite a few changes if you look at Thaiphoon 3.2 RC listed output it seems. Wonder how it will change my overclocking behaviour for my modules now ? Time to test |

Interesting, I updated the SPD on my Cellshocks too this week, the SPD that Alex gave me included EPP (not that it makes any difference on 975 or 965) Are the newer OCZ Ti Alphas not EPP enabled or is the SPD tony gave you a 'one off' so to speak? I kind of assumed the OCZ's would be EPP compliant.

Eva The SPD i gave you is a universal one we use on all our 6400 parts, it ensure boot compliance and is fully Jedec compliant. I do have a Micron OCZ special somewhere i can feed you to try once you have finished testing this one |
