| Dual Channel Question
I currently own Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model BL2KIT12864AL1005 - Retail .If i buy a set of Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model BL2KIT12864AA1065 - Retail ,will the 4 modules work in dual channel?Or i must buy the same type? They will work together and in dual channel no problems. They will most likely NOT OC to the same speed but if you set timings and volts manually in BIOS they will work together quite happily. You will just have to find a speed that both types of modules can run.
