| Corsair Value Select PC5300
Hehe I got new ram today. Cost me $189 at MSY for 2GB. I have been toying around with frequencies for about 30 minutes I'll have more of a play later tonight when I get around to it.Stock is DDR667 5-5-5-15 2T Here are the results so far DDR800 5-5-5-15 2T 1.9v ![]() DDR881 5-5-5-15 1.9v ![]() DDR948 5-5-5-15 2T 2.0v ![]() DDR978 5-5-5-15 2T 2.0v ![]() Anyway thats just the quick results, I'm starting to think this board doesn't like DDR1000+ as these sticks seem like they could easily pass it with more volts yet no boot whatsoever. I'll try upping the NB volts soon as well. |

| Re: Corsair Value Select PC5300 By eva2000 I'll have access to a decent camera and some more light tomorrow for photos
![]() It's not bad for cheap ram, however when doing those quick tests I tried 4-4-4-12 at DDR978 and DDR948. Both failed in orthos within seconds ![]() Then again if they can run 4-4-4-12 DDR800 2T that will be enough for my system to run normally ![]() Also going to flash these sticks with an edited spd file so they don't need any effort to run at DDR800 |

| Re: Corsair Value Select PC5300 By skootyloops That's cool, if it performs well, I may get a set and try it myself. As far as the RMA, "IF" you ever have any issues, I'll help you out as best I can.

I have no idea if it is still in production but, we used to selll VS PC6400 2 x 1gb. I have a set in an editing box. If you want, I can send you a Taiphoon file of the SPD so you can compare to what you are using now in your modded SPD.
