RAM choice
This is a discussion on RAM choice within the DDR1 Intel Memory forums, part of the Intel memory category; I just recieved a pair of 2x 512MB OCZ PC5400 Platinum XTC 3-3-3-12 memory to test out soon...

Sorry for the long delay in replying here, guys. I watched the thread for a few days, and then thought I was not going to get any answers. I'm used to the OCAU quick-reply ![]() Thanks for those suggestions - but I've since went ahead and purchased 2x512 OCZ 667 (Cas4). I've gotta tell you - it's a winner. Have the 920D/P5WDe Premium setup on the table atm. Stock Intel Cooler (yes) 4.13ghz Grabbed a case fan, plugged it into the mb, and held it against the hsf: 4.2ghz.... True - hit 70d, lol, but it shows what the thing can do. I have a Scythe Ninja+Nexus 120mm+Cool Laboratary waiting to setup. I've also a 9500LED coming, so I'll run a little test using these two heatsinks (and a mod to the Ninja with a Sunon 38mm 108cfm), and AS5/CL. If I max at 4.2, I'm more then happy for a $300 chip |
