Hey all i have the Antec TruePower Quattro 850W it has x4 12v rails amps are 18a

i have read somewhere that the Amps should be 34 or higher

Iam running the GFX card with that PSU now it runs Great i like the PSU but is it enough Power?

Any Help would be great

Should be enough as each PCI-E probably has it's own 18A 12v rail. I thought you sold that 8800 Ultra ??

I was going to sell this but i just couldnt let it go id rather have over kill for my games then just the minimum


so yah my PSU has x4 12v Rails with 18Amps on each 1

so its good to know iam all good

I reckon it'll even run on my $55 Coolermaster 430W PSU without any problems. (look at my sig. LOL)
That Antec PSU can run two of them in SLI and still have plenty of power left. What's the worry? =P

BTW, Each 8800 Ultra uses about 150watts (13A) total under load. Up to 180W (15A) if overclocked.
My overclocked 8800GTS uses around 120watts. (10A) Not a huge amount of difference is there? hehe.

Just for kicks I put a 8800GTX, Commando, E6600 @ 4K MHz with 3 drives, all overclocked using a 32AMP 12V rail PSU and it was all fine. I have however tried a lower amperage PSU and got a message stating that the GPU was in low power mode.

Saying that, there is no substitute for a good PSU
