here is my current setup Nake opteron 170@ 2700 running at 1.6 volt. DFI lanparty Expert 2GB G skill PC4000 7900gt @ 710MHz core / 1680MHz, core is on 1.55v, mem is on default. Raptor 74GB, 2 WD 200GB. 1 audigy sound card (upgrade to X-FI soon) 1 dvd rom ,1 dvd burner 1 fan controller 2 120mm led case fans, 2 120mm radiator fans 1 90 mm case fan, 1 80mm led fan 3 USB devices. Pump run off the main power source. All these are run off a top power 520 watt. I Primed both cores and ran rthdribl at the same time , I measured the 12volt line with a multi meter is 11.99v. I plan to add in a tv tuner and can changing my water pump to the one that use power from PSU and maybe a second 7900GT, so think i need to change my powe supply .I need you guys to recommend me a good beefy PSU. I will spend up to $270 on a power supply. |

I'd look at the Toughpower, even if it is made by Thermaltake |

| Re: I am looking a beefy power supply, need advice. By alpha0ne yeah i been looking at the toughpower 750 watt, but i am a bit worry that i would turn out to be a lemon
.I would by another top power but they don't have 750watt - 850watt range. I saw the 1k top power PSU, look very nice. But i think it going to cost an arm and a leg. Any one else recommend the toughpower series? |

I wouldn't trust anything Thermaltake to power my rig. But that's just me. I'd go this: http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-60f.htm |
