I'm in the market for a super quiet PSU as well at the moment, noisy fans make me ANGRY I know there are a few fanless solutions out there however they are low output aren't they? What did you end up getting mate? |

Ain't got anything yet Sent1nel, I'm leaning more towards the 850w OCZ and the Silverstone Unit, but nothing is for certain and it's not an emergency untill I get my Prommie re-gassed/modded and get a new board. Beginning of January I'll have to make a decision and take it from there.

850 Watt is overkill for the system I'll be running it on, I only have 1 CDROM and a couple of Harddrives along with my QX6700. I'm looking at perhaps the Thermaltake 750 Watt :X I'll post here when I decide also and give you an update on audio levels!

| Re: High end Silent PSU question By Sent1nel The only down side I can see to the Tt 750W Toughpower is it only has 3 PCI-ex connectors so you'll have to use a molex to 6-pin converter to run two of the new gfx cards.
Other than that it's a great unit. Maff, out of the two you're considering, I'd get the 850W OCZ |

yeah mate, I do like my OCZ stuff, been a fan ever since I had my Platinum LE BH-5... great stuff! Also I did have a 520W Powerstream explode on me, but their RMA was quality... they even gave me a free upgrade! plus the units are made by a different supplier now... Fortron. |
