Hi guys , i need some help figuring out some settings either in my OS or my Raid Card wich is an Areca 1231ML 4GB.How do i keep the Raid card from flushing the Ram cache data when switching from one Raid0 array to another Raid0 array while in the middle of the benchmark PCMark05 running ? I am able to switch target HDD Dinamically while running PCMark05 , and i need to know how to keep the boost of the 4GB DDR2 cache of the Raid card while switching from one Raid0 array to another Raid0 array in the middle of the benchmark as tested by me every HD test in PCMark05 likes different settings , so having 2 or 3 different Raid0 arrays with differnt settings its a must. I dont know what im doing wrong and i keep loosing my boost after changing Raid0 for the first time right after the first test of pcmark05 wich is HD XP Start up during the benchmark run. I have this settings on my Raid card ncq on , hdd read ahead on, volume read ahead conservative. My OS is W7 x64bit SP1 all updates. My settings in the OS for the Raid card in device manager under Write-caching policy , enable write caching on the device ON. Please guys your knowledge its needed and i will be forever thankful for the help. Any help , guidance and opinnions are welcome. Thank you in advanced. Kind Regards: Angelo |

| NP my good old friend George , guys with same or similar problems should update to the Latest Firmware on Areca 1231ML 4GB. George this were the numbers that I was looking for http://3dmark.com/pcm05/3099210 , thats the 4GB cache working right there , without it the numbers i was getting was half of that . That was only a test on a H2O i7 950 , Areca 1231ML 4GB + 6 ACARDS Raid0 , next re-run SB ![]() ![]() By chispy at 2011-07-14 ![]() By chispy at 2011-07-14 |
