Very comparable to the hitachi drives. 16k stripe size too.

I ran pcmark05 but it doesn't give me the all the test to I cant compare the hard drives like yours. I will buy it later on today and run it again tonite

no no.. just run the main suite score test and upload the result to ORB and provide compare link... the hdd multi-tasked test is apart of the main score and different from non multi-tasked HDD score component

Just wondering, with prices as they are, would there be much difference in performance between 2 x 80GB 7K80's versus 2 x 160GB T7K250's in RAID0 (approx $85 versus $120 each).

Apart from the price & capacity difference, would there be any reason to go one way or the other, ie. 7K80 or T7K250?

so would 2 in a raid out perform 36gb raptors in raid 0 ?

16mb or 8mb cache raptors ? i think it would be close for 2 disk raid 0, raptor winning some and hitachis winning other tests.

Probably better with 3x or 4x 80GB Hiatchis one more space and faster and cheaper
