NCQ is enabled by default on most boards unfortunately no one here has a biostar board to know if that's the case on your board heh

well yours benchmarks better than mine, I dont see why it would, we have the same drives in the same config.. not that 200 is bad, but 240 would be better , just trying to see what I dont have set right on mine. or maybe it is just one of those things.. I know different PCs score differently.. even the exact same setups vary sometimes

Going to add another samsung drive and raid 0 it soon, thing is, I think samsung have released all new drives :S

This reduction in performance runs is about 15%! Likewise, in terms of I/O performance, the T133 drives trail behind the competition, and access times are merely average. Just recently, we criticized Seagate's Barracuda 7200.9 for its merely so-so performance - now Samsung is joining this far-from-elite group.
so it looks like I'll be safe to get another 2504C.

I have WD Sata2's @ 120Gb each in Raid-0 and they are not too bad in performance for a twin drive setup. However, come the weekend and I'll have the new Maxtor 300gb models with Full sata2.5 spec. Of course being a Raid fan, they will be installed with Raid-0 setup .
Anyway this is what my current HD's get in HD tach v3.0.1:
