I was meaning as in they will have to get something special out and soon if they want to compete with Conroe I'm not really partial to either AMD or Intel (Own both) , or though i must say AMD was a huge performance boost in gaming over my old intel that i upgraded from, but i'll always try and stay with current technology regardless of who it's made by, wallet and wife permitting of course! ![]() But yes the drop in prices are a win win situation for us all. |

| Re: AMD "Greyhound" to launch Q4 2007? By HighAce Good in theory, I doubt I'd want to use a old mobo with a new CPU though. Besides, nothing will realy stop them doing a 180 and decide it's not worth while integrating support for DDR2 on a new gen CPU. The days of upgrading with longativity are long gone. If you truly wanted longetivity, one of those asrock mobos with would probably be the best buy.
