Thanks Eva2000, and yes same 3847a696. Didn't see the pack date though. Ha, opened the box and went straight to install so I could get it into action! I'll look later for that(it's somewhere in my car).

I'm over @ guru3d mostly. Cowie, Chispy, Frenchlick...for real ocer's... good people.

Hey, can't believe you were at least somewhat stable with tha low qpi/vtt 1.27 or so with that 4.8ghz...wow.

Anyway nice to be here for some cold winter fun. Real nice site!
Thanks.. glad you can join us for some fun

Welcome Eddie good to see another happy customer on those W3570s, I just missed out on the deal but will have one coming soon. Hopefully it's half as good as the batch you guys have.
Indeed.. hope you get your 5970s soon too so i can benefit from 3x HD5870

hey eddie howdy do bro
these look like so much fun i wish i got one of theses instead of 2 5970's
Yeah seems way more enjoyment if you buy based on pure fun versus max bench/hwbot clocks hehe.

Max Xeon W3570 BCLK

While max bclk isn't as important on unlocked cpu multiplier Xeon W3570, still need to find out what it can do in terms of max bclk and as expected you run into a board limit way before you run into cpu limit for bclk. Managed around 226-228bclk max so far at relatively low QPI/DRAM (CPU VTT).

System:
3D Bench at 226bclk (225.8)

Max Super Pi 32M @228bclk (227.7)

CPUZ Validation @228.3bclk

Hi guys, thanks, all of ya.

Hey eva2000, that packing date is 05/07 on this chip. Been way to busy with work to get into anything though. Real nice low volt stability you show there.

I took this chip off ss for some runs with my q9550 project I haven't quite finished yet. I think it has alot more in it and I can't wait to find out. So mean while you are giving me some very useful info.
I appreciate it! By the way, I was telling cowie i ran 40min. of prime and the head temp on the ss stayed a -45c up from -52c. So i should be able to pull some decient #'s later next week or so.

Time for old 8800GT SLI playtime for hwbot

System:
512MB 8800GT SLI Hwbot Category
W3570 @4614Mhz H20

My attempts at 4614Mhz and higher

For now only doing XP benchmarks first.

W3570 @4767Mhz H20

Couldn't pass 3dmark06 at >4.7ghz HT enabled due to hot ambients for water cooled cpu most likely 30.6C room temps idle cpu was 47-52C. But managed to pull off 3dmark05 and 3dmark2001.

3dmark05 = 38,120 3rd place

3dmark2001 = 90,605 19th place

nice, that must mean his 5970's have arrived
Should see some nice numbers with the 3x HD5870, specially if your new enclosure arrives for the phase change cooler
