@eva2000: mate, is it normal that my vIOH goes automatically up whenever I set the vQPI above 1.57 despite that I always set the vIOH manually?! And whenever my vIOH passes 1.26v, everytime I turn the PC on, the first boot doesn't post. And after I hit the reset button, the system boots up with no problem (as far as I can see) I sense there is something wrong with my Sapphire 5970 causing that vIOH fluctuation based on vQPI. Ever since I changed the cooler to Arctic Cooling ACCELERO XTREME 5970, I sense something is wrong. |

| By eva2000 Thanks a lot mate for the response. But what about when vIOH goes above 1.26, my first boot is always a no-post until I hit the reset. Don't you think, that's weird? Does that mean, something is wrong with my graphics card or there is some IOH temp issue? Do you have H2O on your IOH chip?
I suspected that there is something wrong with my PCIe HD5970 because, when I get no-post, the little blue LED beside the first PCIe slot (where the graphics card is) is lit (saying something wrong in that slot or the IOH itself). |

How late am I to the party? Doing some testing tonight, had stupid bios issues with 1903 I was on, then more with 1914, so I'm back on 1504 which seems ok so far. Had cold boot instability (BSOD when entering windows with previously stable settings etc). Had my 920 in for over 1 year, it's fun getting to know a new CPU. Without dodgy BIOS getting in the way, managed to do a little better tonight. Love this CPU, low VID but also not so hot. My low VID 920 only required 1.112v @ 4GHz to hit these temps This was at 1.263v mostly, but dropped to 1.257v from time to time. 4.3GHz @ 1.263v | 3710 MHz uncore @ 1.263v | DDR3-1780 MHz 8-8-8-24 ![]() |

| Administrator | By lutanica On Asus P6T6 WS Rev it was normal to have a slight bump so wouldn't worry about it.
never too late mate, 4.3ghz at <1.3v is excellent. Just go easy on linx testing if you want your cpu/board to survive |
