Has anyone ever confirmed some real evidence that anything other than 100MHz does anything good? I have read in the past 105MHz was good for my particular setup (ages ago) and just used it blindly.
I'm using 106 - 107Mhz, but last night tried to boot for benchies with 108Mhz and got HD corruption.
No amount of NB volts did anything to help this.
I can't rule out PSU though. Trying to overclock X1900XTX and dual core cpu around 4.5Ghz with several other devices running is pushing the limits of my Antec 550W psu.

120mhz+ on pcie bus improves your overclock from what I've read on xs
I'd say that depends on the Mobo and PSU quality.

Re: Semi Official Intel 975XBX Badaxe motherboard info

Previous version of Intel DCC didn't work for me using 1304 bios, but this v2.1.0003 works fine

Interesting the temps are a bit off for me by 4C between Intel DCC vs Coretemp

Intel DCC shows actual bios option values you set for vcore, vdimm, mch, fsb etc not the actual readings. For example 1.4v vcore in Intel DCC = 1.371v vcore reading in bios.

Load temps dual stressprime

Also looks like there's a new official 1334 bios out now.

Change logs for 1334 vs 1304 bios

sweet looks like 1334 bios allows you a higher fsb limit on bad axe http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=107653

Hmm just flashed to 1334 bios and now Intel DCC v2.1.0003 doesn't load properly guess need to wait for next DCC version lol

see DCC temp doesn't even budge from 35C under dual stressprime load with 1334 bios loaded

Re: Semi Official Intel 975XBX Badaxe motherboard info

Have just ordered this Intel board and confirmed a revision 304 and am able to collect it tomorrow.

So my setup will now be (as of tomorrow):

Intel BLKD975XBXLKR i975XBX board

E6400 CORE 2 DUO /2.13GHz/2MB CACHE/1066FSB/LGA775

Corsair Twin2X 2048MB 240-pin DDR2 XMS2-6400.

As this board is on the official Nvidia list of 7950 compatible boards I decided to go with it..until the "Real" Nvidia SLI capable boards arrive anyhow.

I am not into overclocking..I just want a good reliable gaming platform.

I hope I made the right decision.
