Honestly, not too interested in Gigabyte boards they still only show for voltage monitoring = OK and not actual values. Plus P965 doesn't have crossfire which i need heh.

It's the only board available in OZ if you can find rev 304s for. Asus P5W DH 975x and P5B P965 are due early 1st week of July. But who can wait that long
Hmm with all the Axe deaths I might cancell my order and wait for the P5W DH

Really no idea what the deaths are about. Notice all the pro or expert oc'ers had badaxe first and ran them fine. Then all the newbs and less experienced oc'ers started getting into badaxes and more deaths occur heh

We shall see how it goes as my bad axes shipped

Yep, DDR2 voltage above 2.2v will eventually cause failure of the VDDR upper regulating MOSFET due to overcurrent. The higher above 2.2v the faster the failure. Solution is a power MOSFET rated for a higher current...

The user volt modded their board for 2.5+v vdimm heh.

Numerous pros (fugger lost 2) lost at least one and many lost two and not all had the Vdimm mod, quite a few at default took ram with it too

FUGGER lost his cause he set his PCI-E frequency overclocked too far like >120mhz heh. Not sure about rest heh

edit: confirmed oem Intel 975XBX has 8x SATA ports not 4x.

Has anyone ever confirmed some real evidence that anything other than 100MHz does anything good? I have read in the past 105MHz was good for my particular setup (ages ago) and just used it blindly.

for nVidia 7900 series 105-115mhz PCI-E helps with card clocks as well as a few extra 3dmark pts...
