so what's the best board to get atm?

I'm tossing between intel 975xbx and dfi 975x/g
one has good fsb but limited to 2.2vdimm and the other seems to be fsb limited

depends what cpu and ram you want to use it on
probably only a E6300/E6400 though I may consider a 6600 paired with some 5400UL

Guys... I have the Asus P5W-DH on order but I found that I can now get the Asus P5WDG2-WS here in OZ. This would be awesome as I can use my PCI-X SCSI cards in it.

Now on the Asus site it dosen't say that it supports Conroe but being a 975 chipset it should yeh???

no not all 975 boards will support conroe. only some do and others after certain revisions (975xbx rev 304)

That board is no good for Conroe, you need the PRO version that has h/pipes

No its for Conroe with H/pipe from the northbridge, maybe the newer rev actually IS the Pro ??
