When I purchased the 980X it came as a combo with the R2E...Never tried the MB before and had sold it and received an echeck that bounced so thought I would test it out since my P6T7 wouldn't hold any multi but 25... Sweet MB...loves the 31 multi...at low voltage..I think this B287 batch is a good batch for the 980X...I will sell this R2E when I get my hands on the R3E... Package came today that I thought might be the R3E but it was the Asus 5870 V2..Big sucker..I have seen no reviews but it's NOT 9.5 inches long as i read....also 6 + 8 pin hook-ups. In the back...I need to move my Feser...Also the Feser really likes the alphacool adj. pump. This was at 18 volts...Vantage....I know..Us water guys can get boring...LOL |

Great thread, what is the max you guys are pushing cpu Vcore to on air with this cpu? Got the megahalems and 2 fans pushing 240cfm in push-pull setup, will soon be testing just curious what you guys think will be safe. |

| Administrator | By Frenchlick ah apparently 3002 are pretty good too
![]() By lakeside2189 ah things work out for the best eventually, shame about P6T7 not working that well though.
By jetspeedz air i'd say no more than 1.45v vcore for benching and <1.35-1.4v for 24/7
a pair of HD5870 should do for starters |

Eva, what about the PLL..I copied your Intel white pages that you posted..I think they say 2.0. I have seen a few post at different places saying to stay under 1.85 and I think 1.80 is stock. I used 2.0 PLL for the Vantage run...Do you think it will hurt??? Reading all the" I fryed my 980X" has me looking twice...With the 975, you didn't really have to worry about hurting it....Also the QPI at 1.40 is kinda low but is the white page limit... Your thoughts: |
