Can't help myself - another Core 2 Duo thread

I too, would personally go the E63/6420 route over a E4400, mainly due to the greater cache, FSB & better voltage scaling on average when compared to a E4* series chip. The E4400 should also be able to be BSEL modded, just like the E4300

I've already got an E6700 and E6400 so I felt I'd finish out the Core 2 Duo line up (conroe, conroe-allendale, allendale) and get the E4300 or E4400.

I've had a few things pop up recently (snapped another deck ) so I'm going to have to wait a little until I can get that E4300 or E4400.

The processor would be bought purely for kicks. So it'll be BSEL modded and eventually the IHS would be removed as well.

bought an E6600 on ebay today........i could make out L629xxxxx faintly fingers crossed hopefully i get it and it actually works..........

the chip seems to have L629xxxx batch written on there which can just be recognised but the seller just replied after the auction finished saying the batch is L644G205

Hmm looks like L629xxxx to me.. you should of asked prior to bidding i guess ?

Looks like the Q6400's have started to trickle in. $528 for an OEM model (link).

Dinos, thats . I personally too would have made sure prior to bidding after hearing so many similar cases, with GMX's being the most recent. Hopefully there ends up being a mutual agreement between you & the seller and all works out. Then you can get a Q6400 instead

The image defninitely has '29' on the chip, that is clear enough. He must have used a different image!
