| 201FSB limit, GA-P35-DS3, D347 Celer'y??
I thought I'd have a bit of fun & flog a Celeron D347 on a GA-EP35-DS3 mobo under DICE but with dissappointing results. I've hit an FSB wall at 201. It'll run SPi1M at 201*23 (4623MHz) with Vcore=1.35v. ![]() No amount of increase in volts will allow a boot to windows at FSB=202 or greater. I've booted to windows with extreme settings of Vcore=1.800v, MCHv=+0.3v, FSBv=+0.3v & FSB=201 & can run SPi4M with a max CPU temp= -49deg. As soon as I set FSB=202; no boot. I thought maybe a NB strapping issue, so I tried booting at FSB's of 210,220,......300 still with no success. I can boot at 201 then increase FSB up to ~260 in windows using Gigabyte's Easytune. ![]() This is the same mobo', RAM, PSU & cooling combo' that went 596FSB with an E8400 so I'm a little stumped. Surely if the CPU will do 201FSB with a very small Vcore bump it should be capable of booting at much higher with more volts. What piece of simplicity am I missing here ![]() Help pls, Ruffy |

| Re: 201FSB limit, GA-P35-DS3, D347 Celer'y?? I'll have a DS3P on Sunday (no more Dice till Monday ) to play with; may help.If not, maybe a 965 chipset? When I see people hitting ~8gig with these CPU's @ 'hwbot' I thought 7gig shouldn't be toooooo hard. I should know better by now. I've got a litle Dice left so I might punch the Vcore to 2.0v & see if I can get any higher OC with ET; or a dead mobo' ![]() I'll shoot for some more points for the 'i4memory' team (& personal satisfaction of course )Cheers, Ruffy. |
