Since the introduction of this section we've been working on our very first company's evaluation. ASUSTeK Computer Inc a.k.a. Asus was our first target, as their current products seem to attract most of the people nowadays ( it's a fact that Asus has the widest motherboard products range for Intel's Core 2 Duo/Quad series CPUs, and an offensive marketing campaign ). Unfortunately their current products have a lot issues, major and minor, which need to be resolved anytime soon. We also had some questions on two Asus's products by that time, so we said "lets evaluate Asus first".

So here we are today, presenting you the results of ASUSTeK Computer Inc evaluation. But before going into the fixtures, and the plus 'n' cons, we should get into the details of this...amazing journey

Let's start with some motherboards & their issues...

Personally, I think while Asus do have alot of issues mentioned in that article to address, Asus is still overall the best brand when it comes to core2 motherboards ATM. I don't think any other brand has taken core2 cpus consistently higher for max oc's than Asus right now ?

I have to agree with you, with the current motherboard availability for the Intel Core 2 Series CPUs, Asus has the best boards ( in the land of the blinds, the one-eyed man rules them all - they say

DFI is currently...sleeping, Gigabyte...mmm
Will be testing the new 680i motherboard from Abit soon, hopefully we'll have a good rival for Striker Extreme.

Yes, I have to agree with you, with the current Core 2 Ready motherboard availability, the "best" boards are the Asus ones.

If ASUS didn't have the best C2D motherboards they would be doing something very wrong. For instance just a quick list off the top of my head for P965 boards.

P5B
P5B-E
P5B-E Plus
P5B-Deluxe
P5B-Deluxe Wifi
Commando

6 boards based on the one chipset. I'm sure there are more which I haven't mentioned
