I've been having my first play with the board and just wondering if it's normal for it to increase core voltage under load? I have llc enabled and my core voltage set 1.25v, however when I run linx it increases to 1.27v - 1.28v |

| Administrator | normal for LLC enabled nothing to worry about. For 24/7 it's best to disable LLC though, leave LLC for bench/max oc sessions.

LLC disabled will need high vcore set in bios so the droop vcore under load is sufficient for the clock speed you want. It's safer for the cpu though i.e. 1.456v idle and 1.416v load with LLC disabled. Idle higher vcore has jack all stress on cpu compared to 24/7 LLC enabled heh

Gday I am chasing a bit of info on the board please Just looking at my Rampage II Extreme and it has a jumper just to the right CLRTC Jumper. I can't find anything in my manual that says anything about this 3 pin SW ( Has a jumper on pins1and2 ), Even all the MB layout Pics in the Manual don't show this 3 pin SW, I have on my board to the right of the 3 pin CLTRC switch. Also on further inspection there is a 8 pin switch block that has one pin removed ( 7 pin with No Jumper caps). and this block is located between the CLTRC SW block and the BIOS chips below . No mention in the manual what this is for either . and in all the MB pics in the manual, this SW block is not shown too Could you please tell me what is the purpose of these 2 SW blocks please. If it is of any help to you. My Motherboard revision is Rev 2.01G |

Ive got a problem to get higer BCLK than 207 on my i920 (RIIE & Bios rev 1639) . Now I am 207x21 and its rock solid, almost half a year without single crash/bsod , working 24/7 . Today I tried once again to put my clocks higer but unsuccesful... with BCLK208-210 system can hangs-freeze and I had to make hard reset... (temps are fine...) This is my bios template settings: Code: CPU Ratio setting - 21 CPU Turbo Power Limit - Disabled BCLK Frequency : 207 PCIE Frequency : 100 DRAM Frequency : 1659MHz / timings 8-8-8-21 trfc-88 UCLK Frequency : Auto QPI Link Data Rate : Auto CPU Voltage - 1.38750 CPU PLL voltage - 1.81592 QPI-Dram voltage - 1.28750 IOH voltage - 1.11341 IOH PCIE voltage - 1.51106 ICH voltage- 1.11341 ICH PCIE voltage - 1.51106 DRAM Bus voltage - 1.65681 CPU configuration CPU Ratio Setting : 21 C1E Support - Disabled Hardware prefetcher - Enabled Adjacent Cache line prefetcher - Enabled Intel Virtualization Tech - Disabled CPU TM Function - Disabled Execute Disabled bit - Disabled Intel HT Technology - Enabled Active Processor Cores - All A20M - Disabled Intel Speedstep Tech - Disabled Intel C-STATE tech - Disabled Load-line calibration - Auto CPU differential amplitude - Auto Extreme OV - Disabled CPU spread spectrum - Disabled PCIE spectrum - Disabled CPU clock skew - Auto IOH clock skew - Auto |
