E6750/E6850 probably be better buys i.e to hit 4ghz on E6550 you'd need at least 571+ FSB

alpha, all depends on supply and demand.. is supply is short price will probably be kept around that mark i suspect

Looks like some retailers are already applying the post 22/7 prices. I see e6750s for $245 and e6850 for $350 on staticice. Of course, whether these shops actually have stock is a different question.
