Definite proof that 4:5 on P5B Deluxe runs at much tighter chipset latencies compared with 2:3 divider. 11x359FSB 2:3 538mhz 4-4-4-4 vs 10x395FSB 4:5 493mhz 4-4-4-4 ![]() vs ![]() Higher FSB and 2mhz raw cpu clock higher might have helped but 45mhz difference in memory clocks. |

Did a remount of Swiftech G4 Storm and managed to pull off single 32M @4Ghz but maxed out vcore on P5B Deluxe (1.62v idle and 1.59-1.60v load). ![]() ![]() Pushing up to 4025Mhz ![]() ![]() |

Considering your ambient temps there, it has to be said it's pretty breathtaking performance. Scares me to wonder what you might achieve with cold air flowing through that radiator. No chance of acquiring an A/C unit? |

Yeah probably need a more powerful air con ![]() Slowly finding the balls to be a bit more adventurous and decided to do the Asus P5B Deluxe vdroop pencil mod I used a 2B pencil and about 4 strokes across resistor pictured with yellow line through it below:![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - resistance was DMM measured at 80 ohmBefore vdroop pencil mod - 1.325v bios set vcore = 1.280-1.288v bios monitored, 1.29v idle/1.27v load Asus PC Probe2 reported. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - resistance was DMM measured at 37.4 ohmAfter vdroop pencil mod - 1.325v bios set vcore = 1.296v steady bios monitored, 1.30v idle/1.30v load Asus PC Probe2 reported. I'm happy with that for now a reduction in vdroop by ~0.03v Asus PC Probe2 reported under load. Not going to be too greedy ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CPU Prime95 v25.1v small ffts load:Before vdroop pencil mod @1.325v bios set ![]() CPU Prime95 v25.1v small ffts post load idle: ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CPU Prime95 v25.1v small ffts load:After vdroop pencil mod @1.325v bios set ![]() CPU Prime95 v25.1v small ffts post load idle: ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3600Mhz use to take 1.45v (1.38v Asus PC Probe2 loaded), now with vdroop pencil mod 1.4125v (1.38v Asus PC Probe2 loaded) ![]() ![]() 3807mhz at 1.5875v bios (1.56v idle/1.552v load) ![]() Idle ![]() Load |
