This is a discussion on E6750 'G0' 8x333FSB + Asus P5K Deluxe within the Asus Intel motherboards / CPU forums, part of the Intel motherboards / CPU category; By eva2000 Found i could memtest86+ v1.70 if i pushed the CPU PLL voltage in bios from 1.6v to 1.8v ...

| Re: E6750 'G0' 8x333FSB + Asus P5K Deluxe By eva2000 I too found that PLL increase (up to 1.7v for me, 1.8v didn't have any extra improvement at the time) helped me increase max FSB by 10-15MHz with my Xeon 3070. No such luck on my fsb walled E6320 though, depends on the CPU hehe.
Now I wonder what your E6750 can do on air |

yeah Dice, CPU PLL Volt might not help all cpus youngpro, max so far is E6600 ES B1 = 500FSB (max CPU PLL used = 1.6v) X6800 L627A872 B2 = 490-495FSB (max CPU PLL used = 1.6v) Q6600 ES B3 = 490-502FSB (max CPU PLL used = 1.6v) E6700 L629B079 B2 = 510-514FSB (max CPU PLL used = 1.6v) E6750 ES G0 = 490-500FSB (max CPU PLL used = 1.6-1.8v) I suspect all my cpus are FSB walled around that mark heh |

even the 6750, wouldnt you think possibly 510 or a little over 500? what about if you run the latest bios, set fsb to 1333 and then boot at 490 and setfsb your way above it? can you boot at above 500 on the 6700? |

just plugged my 6850 in, seems so far to be a fairly nice chip, 3700mhz p95 stable default voltage, 3900 at 1.375, im sure this chip has alot to give, a quick 4004mhz validation at 1.375, ill post results later but so far so good

hi I just ordered a pair of 6400 Ballistix`s, an E6750 and a P5K DLX. Reading this thread, it looks like I have choosen well ![]() Before I put the whole system under H2o, I will put an AC freezer7pro on. With that cooler, can I get any decent OC result? I am reading a lot here, because I come from the dark side [AMD Opteron 175 at the moment] but still, if anybody has got any sort of tricks hints or ideas about basic and not-so-basic Intel OCing, pelase feel free to share it with me |
