Swapped out my not so good E6700 L629B079 cpu and put in my E6600 B1 ES cpu (did 4150mhz at 1.66v max for 32M on Asus P5W DH on Swiftech G4 Storm/Thermochill 120.3/MCP650 water). System
At stock 9x266FSB 1.268v: Room temp = 23.5C Bios = -44.5C Evap temp idle = -44.5C Systool Dual 32M Pi tests

Definitely B1 stepping is slower in Super Pi than B2 but not bad clocks @4490Mhz at 1.664v. Low memory clocks didn't help heh Evap load = -34.6C @9x499FSB at 1.664v ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bios settings used:

At 7x cpu multiplier and 5-5-5-9 timings, I managed maximum of 7x540FSB boot from bios into windows: I used 540mhz 5-5-5-9 3-30-6-10-10-10 timings at 2.25v vdimm with vMCH at 1.65v and vFSB at 1.40v. Didn't bother with Super Pi 32M instead just ran Systool dual 32M Pi test and took screenie of Everest bandwidth and then jumped straight to 8x cpu multiplier ![]() ![]() At 8x cpu multiplier and 4-4-4-9 timings, I managed maximum of 8x536FSB boot from bios into windows: For 8x536FSB, I used 536mhz 4-4-4-9 5-30-5-10-10-10 timings at 2.40v vdimm with vMCH at 1.75v and vFSB at 1.40v. ![]() ![]() ![]() Still slow times compared due to being B1 stepping compared with my E6700 B2 @8x532FSB 1:1 4-4-4-5 |

Finally, managed to get my E6600 QPGE B1 ES cpu to hit 4500Mhz with Super Pi 32M and 4536Mhz for 1M at 11.156s. Managed 4563Mhz for 1M at 11.094s but it rebooted when I was taking the screenshot ![]() E6600 B1 ES @4500Mhz - 9x500FSB 1:1 at 1.75v bios (1.696v) ![]() ![]() @4536Mhz - 9x504FSB 1:1 at 1.75v bios (1.696v) ![]() |

Finally, got around to setting up the dedicated GPU water cooling loop for this card consisting of the following: EK Acetal Full Cover GPU block -> Radiical Triple fan single pass Radiator -> Brass T-line -> Swiftech MCP655 powered by Kayl custom 100W relay switched psu -> back to EK Acetal Full Cover GPU block stock speeds are @648/1512/2052 (bios flashed) ATI Tool 0.27 beta2 Idle ![]() ATI Tool 0.27 beta2 Load ![]() Some eVGA 8800GTX runs @648/1512/2052 3dmark2003 ![]() 3dmark05 ![]() 3dmark06 ![]() ![]() Looks like the eVGA 8800GTX is bottlenecked at it's clock speeds of 648/1512/2052. Can't get GPU core higher probably GPU voltage limited at stock GPU volts. 3dmark2001 ![]() Aquamark3 ![]() Pcmark05 |
