I tinkered with the settings and had no luck whatsoever. The best solution for me was to return it and get a different set of RAM. I bought a set of G.SKILL F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600. It is working out of the box with Asus P6T SE.

Intersting to read i have the same problem with my Gskil kit first my config i7 930 Rampage II GENE GSKILL 6GB kit (model : F3-12800CL7T-6GBPI) 2x Zotac GTX 460 1GB in sli. I am not a big overclocker and i rarely push my 930 past 3.5Ghz for day to day gaming and normal browsing. My Ai profile is always set to manual but almost all my volts are set to auto i just set the bck to 160 sometimes i set the cpu volt alone to 1.15v which works for me stable. My ram volt is constatly at 1.5v and i mostly underclock it and set it to 1400sh ... for the detection at 4 GB is very random once in maybe every 2 or 3 weeks it would be at 4GB and i would have to reset the bios for it to detect and go back to 6 GB. Yesterday everything was set @ bios defaults and still it was showing as 4GB it took 3 bios resets before the value changed back to 6GB .... i almost went and got myself a mushkin 6 GB kit when i came across this thread... what would you suggest the ideal volt for the qpi would be for me ? with ram volt at 1.5v my ram timings when set at around 8 8 8 20 1t with the 1400sh mark @ 1.5 volt. |
