Thanks for replying, eva My system specs:
/Even if can not pass Prime for a minute, I can work and play game with those settings day by day without having any problem (system crash, dumping physical memory, etc...). I have used some boards before, such as 965P-DS3, P5B Deluxe, P5K Deluxe and I had an experience that if the system fails Prime test in a few minutes, it can not run any heavy task like game and 3DMax render! So can you give me an advice? |

Problem is probably low NB volts at 1.31v try raising it to 1.45-1.55v and manually setting subtimings. You might need to bump FSB volts from 1.3v to say 1.35v or something

Had a try! Rise NB Voltage to 1.55, FSBT Voltage to 1.35, but it still fails Orthos after a few minutes (BSoD), the only way to solve this problem that I found is to rise v-core to 1.53725V in BIOS / 1.5200 Idle / 1.5120 load. A bit disappointment to me, this mobo need more v-core than the P5k Dlx to make my E6750 stable at 3.6Ghz (450x8). Hope it'll overclock Penryn well!

I was seriously think to buy the Formula before my E6700 was dead, Now i know i need it for my E6850, any advice should i wait the X38 before take a decision? We know the bios will certainly need some version for be mature, anyway i have work a lot with newer board, and little bug are not really a problem I have build my Vapo today with my E6850, but i will be limited on FSB and more by some divider give no boot ( example 460x9 11xxmhz on DDR).. " Nothing to do with this, but i was testing CPU with the last version of SandraSys, and they have add the result of FX76,( for recall, it's 2x FX76 dual core on a dual socket motherboard..) and i m really suprise of the result compared to a QX6800: FX76: 38'855 Mflops QX6800: 36'883 Mflops |

By Lane might as well wait for X38 if you're on the fence right now

Yes, but i don't know exactly from where it comes.. anyway you remember sometimes ago i have kill my P5W64 and replace it.. same rev ( there's no revision change for P5W64) and with the E6700, i have not really try max FSB with the new .. , i have switch for last , so the max 470mhz ( boot and SPI) a long time ago on my older P5W64 is perhaps no more valid with this board, or again bios can be a problem, i need try see if 402 and 502 bios give me better result. ( last is 903, and it what i use right now.).. Will see, but there's not a lot of luck the result will be impressive on this board with a multi locked at 9 max.. I know me well, and if a morning, i m tired of a bad OC, i will send a phone to a friend shop and order a Blitz... |
