I tried booting the board with Gskills Ripjaws F3-1600CL9D-4GBRH ram and it only boots in single channel at any frequency I tried. Now reverting back to my Corsair TRX6G1600C8D G sticks and it won't boot in dual channel anymore, only single. I've just about had enough of this board, time for another brand or socket? ![]() All these bios updates and still the same problems

You going to OC hardcore Rod? My Intel P55KG board is very nice to work with. I'm not OC'ing though so cannot comment on that. Looks like RAM ratios are limited as well. I have the option of 6x 8x and 10x however the board seems very solid and stable. Just running some kingston generic 1333 sticks from MSY. |

| By Jammer Only OC with air cooling, easier to do down here in Tassie
afaik EVGA, Asus, Intel & Gigabyte make P55 based boards. I've never used an Intel board for OC before. RMA this current Asus board me thinks.

A little relief, can get this board to boot in dual channel but ONLY with my 3 x 2Gb Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D G sticks. Had to remove the front 120mm fan in order to fit the 3rd stick. This is still not good enough, why should the board need 3 sticks to boot in dual channel in the first place? annoying to say the least...

i have the P7P55D (not deluxe) and have ram issues too. using adata 2000x but it wont go above 1800. at 1900mhz it can boot, but not very often. it seems stable enough @ 1900, but dont know why it doesnt boot most of the time. no chance of getting 2000mhz. bclk goes up to 220 so not the issue. just tried the new 1307 bios but no difference. will be trying probably MSI GD65 next pay. hopefully to isolate the problem. i have tried many different bios configs, all the different ways to set ram clock but no luck. so im sure its not from incorrect config

well i figured out why its not running 2000mhz ram. the same dual channel problem as tekxpert. it only boots above 1800mhz in single channel mode. and only 3 out of 4 dimm slots. single channel runs 2000mhz no problems, but WTF!!!! this is a P7P55D (non-deluxe) any ideas at all on how to fix it? latest 1307 bios no change. |
