Hi I have ASUS P6T7 WS with BIOS Version 0811. I have installed 4x2 = 8GB ram from G.Skill Ripjaws series (DDR3 1600 - F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL) + CPU I7 980X. I am running Windows 7 64bit. When I installed the ram, bios only sees 4GB, and also I have two kits more from the same brand (16GB more= 24GB of Total memory) I dont know why the motherboard just detect the half of memory ![]() BR Esteban |

hi Esteban and welcome ![]() Yes as GenAn posted info at http://i4memory.com/ramdetect still applies ![]() I'd start by posting your bios settings tried and used using format of a bios template - P6T6 WS Rev bios template should be close to yours Asus P6T6 WS Revolution Bios Template Haven't tried 4GB density modules in 2x4GB yet, so no sure of their performance characteristics, but i assume you need to play with QPI/DRAM (cpu vtt) and VDIMM voltages as per outlined at http://i4memory.com/ramdetect and Intel Core i7 920 Overclocking Introduction Guide on X58. Since you use i7 980X gulftown cpu, uncore and mem frequency ratio has changed to min 1.5x times, so you can also tweak that and the relevant QPI/DRAM (cpu vtt) voltage required as per info outlined at http://i4memory.com/f55/intel-core-i...-ratios-23430/ |

hi eva2000 ![]() I have read it the links below about the correct ratio for memory uncore, etc. This is my template bios actually: Asus P6T7 WS Revolution 0811 Bios Template **************************** AI Tweaker **************************** AI Overclock Tuner: Manual CPU Ratio Setting: 26 BCLK Frequency: 133 PCIE Frequency: 100 DRAM Frequency: DDR3-1600Mhz UCLK Frequency: 2666Mhz -> 1.66X QPI Link Data Rate: AUTO ******************* DRAM Timing Control ******************* DRAM CAS Latency: 9 DRAM Clock DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay : 9 DRAM Clock DRAM RAS# PRE Time: 9 DRAM Clock DRAM RAS# ACT Time: 24 DRAM Clock DRAM RAS# to RAS# Delay: AUTO DRAM REF Cycle Time: AUTO DRAM WRITE Recovery Time: AUTO DRAM READ to PRE Time: AUTO DRAM FOUR ACT WIN Time: AUTO DRAM Back-To-Back CAS# Delay: AUTO DRAM Timing Mode: AUTO DRAM Round Trip Latency on CHA: AUTO DRAM Round Trip Latency on CHB: AUTO DRAM Round Trip Latency on CHC: AUTO DRAM WRITE To READ Delay(DD): AUTO DRAM WRITE To READ Delay(DR): AUTO DRAM WRITE To READ Delay(SR): AUTO DRAM READ To WRITE Delay (DD): AUTO DRAM READ To WRITE Delay (DR): AUTO DRAM READ To WRITE Delay (SR): AUTO DRAM READ To READ Delay(DD): AUTO DRAM READ To READ Delay(DR): AUTO DRAM READ To READ Delay(SR): AUTO DRAM WRITE To WRITE Delay(DD): AUTO DRAM WRITE To WRITE Delay(DR): AUTO DRAM WRITE To WRITE Delay(SR): AUTO **************************** CPU Voltage: AUTO CPU PLL Voltage: AUTO QPI/DRAM Core Voltage: 1.30 IOH Voltage: AUTO IOH PCIE Voltage: AUTO ICH Voltage: AUTO ICH PCIE Voltage: AUTO DRAM Bus Voltage: 1.60 DRAM DATA REF Voltage on CHA: AUTO DRAM CTRL REF Voltage on CHA: AUTO DRAM DATA REF Voltage on CHB: AUTO DRAM CTRL REF Voltage on CHB: AUTO DRAM DATA REF Voltage on CHC: AUTO DRAM CTRL REF Voltage on CHC: AUTO **************************** Load-Line Calibration: AUTO CPU Differential Amplitude: AUTO CPU Clock Skew: AUTO CPU Spread Spectrum: Disabled IOH Clock Skew: AUTO PCIE Spread Spectrum: Disabled CPU Advance Settings C1E Support: Disabled Hardware Prefetcher: Enabled Adjacent Cache Line Prefetcher: Enabled Intel (R) Virtualization Tech: Disabled CPU TM Function: Disabled Execute Disable Bit: Disabled Intel (R) HT Technology: Enabled Active Processor Cores: ALL A20M: Disabled Intel (R) C-State Tech: Disabled **************************** Express Gate: Disabled Finally, I just want to detect all memory, I dont want to oc the cpu, but If Ineed to tune vcore to detect the memory, I would like to know a good ratio between BCLK, UCLK MEMORY etc thanks in advance for your response BR Esteban Have someone tried 4GB density modules over this board??? |

i'd say some of those voltages marked in bold to manually set lowest option value CPU PLL Voltage: 1.8 QPI/DRAM Core Voltage: 1.30 try up to 1.4v in 0.02v increments IOH Voltage: 1.1 IOH PCIE Voltage: 1.5 ICH Voltage: 1.1 ICH PCIE Voltage: 1.50 DRAM Bus Voltage: 1.66 also try CPU Differential Amplitude: between 900 and 1000mv |
