Interesting the differences B2B settings have on SPI32M time vs everest. From everest results alone you'd think the difference would be larger. An almost 18% and 10% difference in read and copy is huge. Latency is practically identical regardless of B2B setting though, this may have a large influence. Perhaps the bandwidth with triple channel is redundant over a certain point bringing very minimal gains alone.

Yeah B2B is interesting - looking forward to combining B2B and high uncore later on. I'm testing a private beta bios right now unfortunately not allowed to share yet. Just messing around with uncore frequency with default auto B2B ![]() ![]() |

George, what do you think about the efficiency of the board, compare to the T3eH8 ? And what's about the memory/uncore clocks you are able to reach. I have both at home, and also classified, but really no time to test |

Out of the box seems P6T6 WS Revo on default AUTO values is faster even for CAS9. But it means everything is set very aggressively/tight on P6T6 compared to DFI UT X58. That could be good and bad depending on whether P6T6 limits your overclocking because things are too tight. Still too early to tell but investigating ![]() Uncore Frequency Testing - preliminary findings As to uncore testing, i only really did max uncore extensive test with W3520 D0 on DFI UT X58 around Uncore of 4600-4760mhz for 32M pi-validations. All only i7 920 C0/D0 cpus on DFI UT X58-T3EH8, I didn't push uncore past 4200-4400mhz. On P6T6, only used my poorest/worst i7 920 3836A756 C0 #2 cpu and that easily pushed to 4200mhz uncore for 32M and 4401mhz uncore for validation. This is all on water cooled cpu. So pretty nice the differences could be due to C0 vs D0 stepping or added NF200 on P6T6 ?. P6T6 though gains performance in 32M pi up to 4200mhz. At 4300+ uncore 32M pi loops were slower than at 4200 and below uncore, so suggests RTL latency etc was too loose at 4300+ uncore. Still more investigating need ![]() So for you viewing pleasure ![]() System:

| Administrator | i7 920 3836A756 C0 #2 @4493Mhz HT Enabled Managed 25Mhz clocks higher HT enabled Super Pi 32M clock than what I could manage with exact same cooling on DFI UT X58-T3EH8.

| Administrator | Max BCLK Testing continued... 7 days ago, tried my first attempt at max bclk on i7 920 3836A756 C0 #2 cpu, and got to around 228bclk validation but no 32M Pi stability. Now after trial and error testing of bios settings and voltages, managed to pull off 230 bclk validation and 225.8 bclk for Super Pi 32M. Asus TurboV windows app was pretty useful for testing different voltages within windows for Super Pi 32M. I used TurboV in conjunction with setFSB to start with 220 bclk boot from bios into windows and setFSB to 223 bclk for 32M Pi. Then after figuring out voltages tried 225 bclk boot from bios into windows and passed 32M Pi at 225 and 226 bclk. 230 bclk ![]() ![]() 220 bclk boot from bios, 32M Pi passed @220bclk, setFSB to 221bclk, 222bclk, and 223bclk. click image for full screenshot. 220bclk ![]() 221bclk ![]() 222bclk ![]() 223bclk ![]() 225bclk boot from bios, 32M Pi passed @225bclk and setFSB to 226bclk. 225bclk ![]() 226bclk ![]() PCI-E Frequency = 110mhz for all above tests.
