With more vcore I'm sure I could get better speeds.

OPB's chips are supposedly doing 5.1GHz on 1.5~1.6 vcore

Submitted to Holicho's hall of fame, should be around number 8 in the world.

If a dumbass like me can get to number 8, just imagine what you experts could do

just realised that would push me out of top 10 on holicho rankings .. for now anyway

no worries i am still fastest E6600 on hwbot and holicho for now hehe..

Jammer i think SLI raised tRFC value to hit higher fsb

I doubt I'd have even gotten close if it wasn't for you guys

I got the higher FSB by running 1:1 and maxing the voltages, I could then boot at around 410MHz and used memset to raise tRFC to 42, then used AI Booster to gradually raise FSB to 450MHz. I think I might need some better NB cooling though to run at such a high FSB

. Any cooling suggestions, I'm tempted to try watercooling

There seems to be a trade off between FSB (vMCH) and vCore

. As you raise the FSB it seems to drain vCore? Maybe v droop (and that's v droop, not VB droop

) I can get ~4.5GHz at 344FSB but only around 4.1Ghz at 410FSB and to boot at 4GHz FSB400 requires ALOT more vCore than 4.1GHz FSB300. Is it possible that's a heat issue?

I'll check out OPB's volt mods and maybe try one

(That's a scary thought, me with a soldering iron

One thing to try is maybe to try setting all voltages to auto except for vFSB (max this out), then see how far u can go. Once you have found max FSB with vFSB maxed out, set it auto and max out vMCH, see how high you can go with this.

Then when u have the max for both try to find the right balance of vFSB and vMCH.

Does this make sense? It makes sense in my head but getting it all out could be another story.

yeah higher fsb in general for 975x chipset needs

1. higher vcore
2. higher mch volts
3. better cpu and mch cooling

i still haven't found what vFSB is meant to help though hehe

i know setting vFSB too high can on some boards = less stability though

It does feel good but I can't help thinking I'm only there through being one of the first to do it, not through skill and great Pi tweaks (which is my next challenge). We'll see in the next few weeks how it stacks up

. Still, anything that brings world attention to i4memory is great

I'd love to use Windows Server 2003 but the official versions cost around $1500. If anyone has a spare copy lying around I'd love to try it

I know some people, who know some people, who might have an "unofficial" version that I might try though

I'm a little hesitant to max out the FSB Termination Voltage as I don't quite know what it does. The name is a little strange?
I'll try it though and if it helps, of course I'll use it.
