Seems the general advice is x0.67 for quads. Personally I set the NB ref to x0.67 and the cpu ref to x0.63. If the cpu ref had a x.067 option I would probably use that. In the tests and benches I've done, taking my GO up to 4.1 ghz, I've found that NB and FSB volts can be set at their lowest settings(don't need to be touched). In fact messing around with these values has had very little effect in my tests. Looking at your bios settings I would try doing that, and lowering the NB and FSB to their lowest settings. Yeap I must say I'm having some troubles reaching 3.6GHz but it could be heat... 3.0GHz = 1.19V 3.2GHz = 1.26V 3.3GHz = 1.30V 3.4GHz = 1.34V for 1h+ quad prime stable... 3.5+ so far is pretty elusive, 3.5@1.376V (CPU-Z) failed prime after 7 minutes, temperatures were 70/69/64/64. Will probably need water. I tried with 0.63x CPU ref voltage but that didn't really help much, failed prime after 10 minutes. |

thanks for the detail guys. Will need to have a lomger play. got a decent clock today that i was pleased with Giving my Q6600 a run That was a break from trying to prime 3800. Had got 8x475 occt stable but prime failed after an hour. Will take on board your suggestions & see what i can do thanks again |

That's a very impressive chip you have there Supershanks. Nice one If you find out anything different settings wise, then let us know. Cheers RLM |

Goes a bit outside parameters of the thread but i thought you might be interested in the settings used 13Hr small fft prime. 9x415 vc=1.4375(Bios) @4:5=1041 As you can see i've taken onboard some of the settings you guys advised Hope their of use to someone else. Thanks again |

Well I'm slowly getting there ![]() ![]() Looks like I have a bit of a Vcore hungry chip for 4xPrime stability. Although the temperatures might have something to do with it. I get the feeling I'll be able to get things stable with lower voltages on water |
