Hi all, well I set up my P5K-E and the BIOS looks the same as the P5K Deluxe but I'm having a weird problem.
It won't let me overclock! If I set everything to AUTO it boots fine and sets all parameters correctly. As soon as I change settings to manual and up the FSB and save settings, it reverts back to standard parameters. I load Windows and it says everything is running at stock! I reboot, go back into the BIOS and settings are what I set them to ie. 375FSB and manual RAM timings. So it looks like the BIOS is saving my overclock but it dosen't apply it! Bloody weird. I noticed this as soon as I flashed to the lastest BIOS. I tried going back to an earlier BIOS but that didn't help. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Apart from that the board is perfectly stable.
Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers eva, I'll fill this out tonight for you. I'm thinking it may be RAM related but I have tried 2 different types of RAM and I get the same result. I've tried 2x1GB Micron D9HNL and 2x1GB Hynix based Kingston PC5300 sticks.

start off with USB legacy disabled and
TWR: 10
TRFC: 42
TWTR: 10
TRRD: 10
TRTP: 10
DRAM Static Read Control: AUTO
Transaction Booster: AUTO
Clock Over-Charging Mode: AUTO
CPU Spread Spectrum: disabled
PCIE Spread Spectrum: disabled
CPU Voltage: 1.3000V
CPU Voltage Reference: AUTO
CPU Voltage Damper: Enabled
CPU PLL Voltage: 1.50v
DRAM Voltage: 2.10
FSB Termination Voltage: 1.3v
North Bridge Voltage: 1.4 or 1.55v
North Bridge Voltage Reference: AUTO
South Bridge Voltage: AUTO

then work you way down to tighter timings and/or higher vdimm/NB volts etc

OK this is all well and good but I cant even go to 267FSB eva. What I'm saying is no matter what I change in the BIOS, it just dosen't stick. the settings save but they dont take effect. if that makes sense.

maybe flat battery on the board ? psu used ?
when you save bios settings particular change sub timings or mem dividers does system do the required auto shutdown and restart ? (a required process for system to properly set oc'd settings)

Hmmm Battery seems fine as in it dosen't loose the time or date settings. But actually now that you mention it, this happened after I removed the battery to clear CMOS settings once. hmmm...
PSU is a Corsair HX620.
And yes it does the power off when you change timings etc.
