I just flashed to 0403 bios via in bios Ez flash2 bios update. Now testing away.. only thing added i see is FSB strap to North Bridge which basically lets you set the Strap used between AUTO/200/266/333. Note, what dividers you have available depends on the strap you select if you choose a setting other than AUTO. Basically the same as older bioses just they did the divider choices for you behind the scenes depending on your FSB selected. i.e. set 266FSB with 266 strap and you won't get 1:1 divider which is same as before. I just leave it at AUTO for it to function like past bios for now. |

First post be gentle. Firstly the raid issue. Don't use the first 2 red sata ports. Use the first and the third I had the raid problems but once I switched all OK. Second this is a great board. Only been playing with it for a day or two but so far have been able to clock my 6420 to 3.6 stable on air at 1.4 volts. Also have 4gb of ballistix 8500 (4x1gb) and max stable with all 4 kits in is around 1180. With only 2gb in the black slots so far max overclock is 1260 with 2.3 vdimm 5 5 5 15 auto rest. Have been checking benchies to see if 4 bank interleave can give better results at the lower clock speeds. Dropping multi back and having higher clock speeds is a must only up till the 499mhz mark then slight drop after 500 as discussed. Havn't taken bus up past 500 yet. Will post some screenies and stuff once i get some max stable results that show best performance. Cheers to graham_h for the board BTW. |
