This function seems to boost memtest86+ v1.70 reported memory bandwidth. By default Transaction Booster is set to AUTO, but when Enabled or Disabled a sub menu appears in the form of levels. When enabled, Transaction Booster gives you an option to select 2 Boost levels of 0 or 1. When disabled, Transaction Booster gives you an option to select 3 different Relaxed levels between 0-3 - level 0 at least looks the same as AUTO set Transaction Booster in memtest86+ v1.70 bandwidth.     Using 9x400FSB 1:1 4-4-4-4 settings below:
Transaction Booster Disabled - Relax level 0  Transaction Booster Enabled - Boost level 1  Now how Transaction Booster AUTO vs Enabled Boost level 1 compare for Super Pi 32M AUTO set = 14m 53.813s  Enabled Boost Level 1 set = 14m 45.531s  Transaction Booster Enabled Level 1 is 0.915% or 8.182 seconds faster than when set to AUTO!  . |

So decided to swap out my E6600 B1 ES cpu for my Q6600 QUPT B3 ES cpu. But I know that the external water cooling unit Corsair Hydrocool 200EX with 1/4" OD tubing I'm currently using won't be able to handle Kentsfield quad core. So changed the cpu cooling to a Corsair Nautilus 500 3/8" ID tubing based external water cooling unit which was kindly supplied by the folks at Corsair       Corsair Nautilus 500 coolant vs Corsair Hydrocool 200EX coolant  To illustrate the tubing sizes from left to right: Corsair Nautilus 500 3/8" ID vs Corsair Hydrocool 200EX 1/4" OD vs Clearflex 3/8" ID vs Clearflex 1/2" ID tubing  Let's compare stock Q6600 temperatures on P5K Deluxe with Corsair Nautilus 500 3/8" tubing with Q6600 on P5B Deluxe with Swiftech G4 Storm/Thermochill HE120.E/MCP650 1/2" tubing setups. Q6600 stock clock/vcore with P5B Deluxe Swiftech G4 Storm + Thermochill HE120.3 (3x120x38mm Panaflo 103cfm) + MCP650 Room temps = 21.0C - 24.5C Idle temps = 22.0C - 27.0C Load temps = 37C - 43C Load room delta temps = 16C - 22C Load cpu load - cpu idle delta temps = 15-21C Idle:  Load:  vs Q6600 stock clock/vcore with P5K Deluxe Corsair Nautilus 500 with fan set on high speed ~1800rpm Room temps = 27.5C - 28.5C Idle temps = 43.0C - 47.0C Load temps = 56C - 62C Load room delta temps = 28.5C - 34.5C Load cpu load - cpu idle delta temps = 13C - 19C Idle:  Load:  Looks like Nautilus 500 is behind my custom DIY - Swiftech G4 Storm setup by at least 12C. This is as expected considering the huge difference in ambient room temperatures, size of radiator and fan setups. Swiftech G4 Storm setup has a triple fan radiation Thermochill HE120.3 and 3x 120x38mm thick Panaflo 103cfm fans versus Corsair Nautilus 500's single low cfm fan and much smaller radiator. To illustrate the difference here's Q6600 @3500Mhz at 1.472v idle/1.408v load on P5B Deluxe using Swiftech G4 Storm setup with 25-27C room ambients resulted in 31-37C idle and 60-68C load temps. |

From above comparison between the Storm/Thermochill HE120.3/MCP650 vs Corsair Nautilus we can see that at 3600Mhz temps will be alot higher on the Corsair Nautilus. How high ? Let's find out Q6600 @3600Mhz - 9x400FSB 1:1 at 1.475v bios set vcore with CPU Voltage Damper enabled gave me windows idle temps of Idle @1.475v bios set  However, the 2nd core = core1 failed quad Prime95 v25.1 smallFFTs load testing even at 1.475v or 1.4875v. Idle @1.4875v bios set  Load @1.4875v bios set  Failed core1 @1.4875v bios set  Post Load Idle @1.4875v bios set  Roasty at upto 86C coretemp reported load temps! Might have to try remounting Corsair Nautilus 500 waterblock a few times to make sure it's making proper contact Still @3600Mhz at 1.4875v bios set vcore, it manages to complete Systool Quad 16M Pi benchmark fine though. This is a good indicator of being able to complete Super Pi 32M at least even though not Quad Prime95 v25.1 small FFTs stable Systool Quad 16M Pi Halfway mark  Systool Quad 16M Pi Completed  |

System

I've seen other P5K Deluxe folks with QX6700 @480-500+ FSB. So now to see what my Q6600 B3 ES can do FSB wise. I usually start off with Systool V1.0 728 build Quad 16M Pi test (uses 1.3GB of memory - the Quad 32M test uses 2.6+ GB of memory) to test max FSB for my Q6600. If it fails it usually aborts the test or reboots the system. With below settings max FSB was around 7x470FSB
Q6600 @3395Mhz - 7x485FSB Here's where I ended up for single and dual Super Pi runs at 7x485FSB 1:1 )  Single Super Pi 32M  Dual Super Pi 32M  Q6600 B3 ES @3800Mhz - 8x475FSB Amazing indeed with Asus P5K Deluxe, I've pushed my Q6600 to a new high - being able to run single and dual Super Pi 32M @3800Mhz - 8x475FSB ! 
 Single Super Pi 32M  Dual Super Pi 32M  Looks like Corsair Nautilus 500 can handle it |

Testing Corsair TwinX-2048 10000C5DF Dominators right now on Asus P5K Deluxe and these modules are crazy.. I have never experienced 534Mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.1v vdimm before!    Quad Prime95 v25.1 Blend test  More tests to come later  |

Time for some suicide runs for my Q6600 on Asus P5K Deluxe since overnight room temps dropped a nice 6C so I thought I'd go for broke At high FSB we have Q6600 @3907Mhz - 8x488FSB  Had a faster run of 11.235 seconds but didn't take screenie - went to i4memory.com hwbot team though  At default 9x multiplier we have Q6600 @9x443FSB via setFSB   Now this I consider fast considering Kentsfield quad core B3 stepping is slower than core2 duo B2 stepping for Super Pi!  Did get a cpuz screen at 4037Mhz at 1.592v but didn't save properly heh. |

Next up is testing my X6800 L627A872 cpu  First to compare stock speed/vcore load temperatures for the same cpu on Asus P5B Deluxe with custom high end cooling from past tests versus Asus P5K Deluxe with all in one external Corsair Nautilus 500 unit. System
All temps are reported from Coretemp app while running quad Prime95 v25.1 small FFTs load tests. X6800 on Asus P5B Deluxe Custom Water cooling: Swiftech G4 Storm Thermochill HE120.E 3x120x38mm Panaflo 103cfm fans MCP650 1/2" tubing ========================================================== Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 L627A872 Asus P5B Deluxe 1KW OCZ ProXstream psu CPU Cooling = Swiftech G4 Storm/Thermochill HE120.E 3x120x38mm Panaflo 103cfm fans/MCP650 1/2" tubing ----------------------------------------------------- @stock 2.93Ghz at 1.325v bios Room temp = 24-26C Idle = 31-32C @vcore idle = 1.288v Load = 40-41C @vcore load = 1.268v Load to room temp delta = 15C - 17C Load to cpu ide temp delta = 9C - 10C My stable clock of 3600Mhz needed 1.38v vcore under load with coretemp load temps = 52C in 26C room temps (26C delta) Stock Speed on P5B Deluxe: CPU idle:  CPU Prime95 v25.1v small ffts load:  @3600Mhzon P5B Deluxe Room temp = 26C CPU idle:  CPU Prime95 v25.1v small ffts load:  X6800 on Asus P5K Deluxe Cooling: Corsair Nautilus 500 H20 cooled 3/8" tubing ========================================================== Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 L627A872 Asus P5K Deluxe 1KW PCP&C SLI psu CPU Cooling = Corsair Nautilus 500 H20 cooled 3/8" tubing ----------------------------------------------------- @stock 2.93Ghz at 1.325v bios Room temp = 28-31C Idle = 46-50C @vcore idle = 1.304v Load = 52-53C @vcore load = 1.304v Load to room temp delta = 21.0C - 25.0C Load to cpu ide temp delta = 3C - 17C ----------------------------------------------------- Dropping vcore to match Asus P5B Deluxe rig system and did the load tests at varying room ambient temps: @stock 2.93Ghz at 1.2875v bios Room temp = 27-29.5C Idle = 42-43C @vcore idle = 1.272v Load = 50-52C @vcore load = 1.264v Load to room temp delta = 21.5C - 25.0C Load to cpu ide temp delta = 9C - 10C ----------------------------------------------------- @stock 2.93Ghz at 1.2875v bios Room temp = 25-27.5C Idle = 35-38C @vcore idle = 1.272v Load = 48-51C @vcore load = 1.264v Load to room temp delta = 21.5C - 25.0C Load to cpu ide temp delta = 9C - 10C Unfortunately, my ideal clock of 3600Mhz couldn't quad prime95 stable at same voltages as my Swiftech G4 Storm custom water cooling setup. Room temps maybe a factor at up to 7+ C warmer as well as difference in size of radiator (1x 120mm rad vers 3x120mm rad) and the fans used. 1.38v = rebooted windows just before windows could load 1.40v = rebooted windows after 30 seconds of quad prime95 small ffts 1.432v = ran quad prime95 small ffts fine so far but hitting 63-67C coretemp load temps in 29.4C room temps (37.6C delta). Stock Speed on P5K Deluxe: CPU idle:  CPU Prime95 v25.1v small ffts load:  @3600Mhzon P5K Deluxe Room temp = 25-27.5C CPU idle:  CPU Prime95 v25.1v small ffts load:  ========================================================== Seems in terms of differences between delta cpu load to room ambient temps, the Corsair Nautilus 500 is around 6.5C to 8.0C behind my custom Swiftech G4 Storm water cooling setup for X6800 @2.93Ghz at 1.264-1.268v load temps and ~17C behind custom Swiftech G4 Storm water @3600Mhz due to needing more vdore, higher room ambient temps and differences in size of radiator and fans used. Not bad considering Corsair Nautilus 500 is around 40% cheaper at AUD$245-285 versus a custom setup like mine at approximately AUD$600-650! |
