I am really looking forward to this especially since we are going to see a lapped Q6600! Eva when you do lap your quad could please post photos? I am very interested in seeing the high/low spots on the IHS and how much work is needed to get rid of them. Good luck

@eva,
Any chance to put yr Q6600 under dry ice. I think yr Q6600 can easily goes to 4ghz under sub zero.
hm...how i wish i have P5K Deluxe with me=)

nah no DI... I'll be using phase change but on Asus Commando with my cpus though.. bit more on that in another thread in the near future
ooooh Dice, remember to start your own little adventure thread in the Asus Intel forum here... folks should do this everytime they get new hardware - share the info and pics

This is for dinos regarding different in quad core prime load temps when you have prime95 load by itself versus prime95 load + wprime load
Room temp = 29.4C right now.
Quad Prime95 load by itself
Quad Prime95 load + Wprime 1.43 load
Running Quad Prime95 load + Wprime 1.43 load together results in ~10C cooler coretemps under load then running Prime95 load by itself as Wprime is competing with Prime95 for cpu time

Yep, same here. So those temps that we see in our various projects with cpus and mobos should take into account this from Arctic Silver 5 website...
Important Reminder:
Due to the unique shape and sizes of the particles in Arctic Silver 5's conductive matrix, it will take a up to 200 hours and several thermal cycles to achieve maximum particle to particle thermal conduction and for the heatsink to CPU interface to reach maximum conductivity. (This period will be longer in a system without a fan on the heatsink or with a low speed fan on the heatsink.) On systems measuring actual internal core temperatures via the CPU's internal diode, the measured temperature will often drop 2C to 5C over this "break-in" period. This break-in will occur during the normal use of the computer as long as the computer is turned off from time to time and the interface is allowed to cool to room temperature. Once the break-in is complete, the computer can be left on if desired.

Just a friendly reminder that the temps you see will only get better after usage..

Yeah AS5 does need time to settle but I'm more subject to room temp changes some days 25-28C some days 28-33C
Testing Corsair TwinX-2048 10000C5DF Dominators right now on Asus P5K Deluxe and these modules are crazy.. I have never experienced 534Mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.1v vdimm before!
Quad Prime95 v25.1 Blend test
More tests to come later

I have a Celeron D 336 which is a 2.8GHz CPU using 133FSB x 21 multiplier.
When I goto manual OC mode in the BIOS it offers me FSB range from 200 - 800. Even with nothing changed (i.e. 200FSB which is default) if I save the settings I can't boot up. I have given it some volts because if it is doing 200x21 = 4.2GHz, and this cpu has gone 18hours prime stable @ 4.0GHz.
BTW mine shipped with 0304 BIOS installed, and for those interested Scythe Ninja fits fine. I have the 120mm fan sitting on the RAM side (pushing air out towards the back) and a 92mm fan 'pulling' air out the back on the rear side so there is a bit of room despite the heatpipes.
