Although I have no probs with 8800GTS SLI and onboard sound, some folks over at HardOCP do. But I mentioned about HTT bus multiplier being fixed at x5 and whether raising/lowering it helped those with the issue.

So far 1 person has reported raising from x5 to x6 has lessened the problem http://www.hardforum.com/showthread....post1030438068.

Here's my settings and system specs on Asus 680i Striker Extreme 0402 bios:

System:

• Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 QPGE B1 Step 5
• Swiftech Apogee/Radiical Triple Single Pass/MCP655@12.25v Kayl Custom 100W Psu
• 2x 640MB Gainward 8800GTS stock hsf SLI
• Asus 680i Striker Extreme rev1.0 0402 bios
• 1x 160GB Seagate 7200.7 SATA NCQ on SATA2 port
• Pioneer DVR-05 DVD Burner
• 600W OCZ EvoStream Modular Power supply

I have linkboost and GPU ex disabled in bios.. linkboost gave me instability in 3dmarks with 8800GTS SLI.. and anyway enabled only gave me a slight boost in benchmarks (30pts in 3dmark06). So best to leave linkboost and GPU ex disabled.

I also have PCI-E and SPP->MCP ref clocked fixed at 100mhz and 200mhz respectively.



And left HT link at x5 although option to set it as high as x8. Anyone try raising or lowering HT link and see how it effects SLI/sound issue ?
