for 24/7 use? then 1.55v or there abouts. for benching 1.7v

Far too high IMHO, even with great WC 24/ the very max 1.55v but benching never over 1.65v

The idea is (well at least for me it is) to get the highest possible, acceptable overclock at the very lowest Vcore possible

That's normally my aim as well, much rather keep the volts down and temperature rather than fry the chip and have a bigger epenis.

Those last few 100mhz aren't that noticable.

I thought 1.55v would be the limit for 24/7, not sure if I'll go that high maybe stick around the 1.5 ~ 1.525v with the Hydrocool.

Currently running 2500mhz 1:1 1.425 bios, ram @ 250mhz 2T3325.

My ram with the Opty170 in this board seems to hit the wall at 220mhz at 1T even in the yellow slots and higher and reboot city.

This is OCCT stable, but I just tried 2 SuperPI's this morning and only one will run so again 1 core is weaker than the other.

1.525v is an ideal limit for the dual cores IMHO

If one core is weaker (which is the norm) then leave CPUBurn running a few days, Even as I am typing now my #1 core is being tortured using PRIME95 large FFT's and overnight I leave both cores being tortured with CPUBurn

You torture anyone long enough they will give in errrr I mean a CPU

Still have an issue in my head about running WC when not there. (I know I'll get over it)

My ram was giving me trouble last night but it seems better in the yellow slots and I think I can live running 2T timings, I know it does impact on performance but it wont really hurt my gaming and frames that much.

I'll start running CPUBurn overnight and maybe up the voltage a little to see if that helps.

OK just realised that I was doing a bad thing with SuperPI 32m's.

I was running the same exe both times in the same directory no wonder one died almost straight away.

Both have completed ok now, although I did up my vcore and drop my vdimm, I'll go back on my vcore now as well.

So 2500mhz 1:1 @ 2T3325 is so far stable.

Just curious, did you try lowering the vcore @2450MHz? I've pretested an X2 3800+ which was able to pass 32mins of dual SP2004 with 2450MHz@1.31V. This really impressed me... (it was my first dual-core experience )

No I haven't tried dropping the voltage yet and seeing if it's stable at 2450mhz.

I did try 2550mhz at my current vcore and that passed also at 1:1 but that's the limit of my ram now by the looks of it.
