Well I got my system together and quickly brought the cpu up to 2.5GHz at stock volts. I have little time for detailed testing at the moment unfortunately ![]() Can someone help me out with my UTT (2x512MB) settings? Using optimised defaults (like 2.5-4-4-7 iirc) the RAM runs fine at 225MHz+. But changing to 2-2-2-5 or 2-2-2-6 seems to be a no go at 200MHz 3.0V - errors in Test 5 of the built-in memtest86+. All other memory timings were left at the 'optimised' defaults. I'm not at the PC now, but can post all the timings etc. this evening. PS. Should 3V be enough to get 2-2-2-5 timings at 200MHz? |

| By orbitor you should really have a system spec in your signature.....you need to give us more detail on your system......should be able to work at 3V

Thanks mate, will try them tonight. Basically I'm just hitting 'Load Optimised Defaults" then adjusting the 4 primary timings to 2-2-2-5, and it won't pass test #5 on 3V. I thought maybe the defaults were suited more to say TCCD and weren't playing nice with the UTT. Yes I know I've got a lot of catching up to do, but this is my first A64, and it's a world apart from K7 overclocking |

Got confirmation from overclockers.de that my Opteron 144 Cabye 0536 is on it's way. Anyone who knows if the 0536 is a good OC? A little question, I'm about to order a new motherboard for my opteron and want to know what mobo I should choose? I have AGP-bus so I wonder if DFI Nforce 3 is any good oc? What about Asrock dual sataII ? |
