No never I've once killed an Opty CABNE last year and since that moment I've always been using CPUs with IHS. Changing the original thermal compound and sticking back on the IHS has always given me very nice temps.

It works again!

I didn't really test it because I'm waiting some friends for diner. But it looks like a motherboard bug like it sometimes happened to me with memory.

sounds like memory cold bug ? try 704-2BTA bios meant to fix that and clock bh-5 higher/more stable

So; no boot again no matter the CPU I use It really looks like a motherboard issue; I'm not sure what to do, I'll try to find another mobo.
