Hey guys ive got this motherboard and i am just wondering, i remember somewhere on dfi street forums think, someone said to only use the oranage DIMMS for oc'ing? Or Yellow, just want to comfirm this, thanks.


Also what bios should i use for ocing and whats the best one?

Pretty sure they are new BH-5, but lower speed binned than the 3500 sets.
It cannot hurt to try both slots to see what results you get, you wont harm anything by trying.
Also, you need to select and use the right BIOS. I would strongly recommend the 623-2BTA for a solid BH-5 overclocking system, with nice tweaks to the settings.
I use Orange always first, then once i maxed out my RAM i try Yellow to compare.
Usually i find Orange giving the best results with my gear.

Another tip, to find the max volts you should use on those stick, run memtest (all test - default) and ou will likely find that #2 will go spastic in its first attempt as soon as you hit limit of volts.

Well that was a while ago. Most use 11/14 BIOS (FX60TEST) with yellow slots for BH-5.
