arghz... what can i say to prove to you - if your CPU does not fail SP2004 at stock speed, but fails when it is overclocked, that the CPU is not running 100% error-free? I'm not saying you SHOULDN'T run it at such a speed - since every purpose that you use it for is in fact stable... but what I'm saying is... it's not 100.0000000% stable... do you get what I mean or not??

| By groovetek I wouldnt agree with that mine passes SP2004 at 2800Mhz 1.55 volts but it will crash after 20 minutes of doom3 , but up voltage to 1.6 and doom 3 doesnt crash , so me personally dont use SP2004 i use stress cpu and Loops of Super pi 32m, not having a go at you groovetek its just my situation and a lot of ppl over at XS have had the same happen

mate - i don't think you read what i said correctly... i'm saying if the CPU fails SP2004 - then it definitely ain't 100% stable, no matter what you test it with... i am DEFINITELY NOT saying that if the CPU passes SP2004, then it's 100% stable... such a claim would be going against my own values... lol... My whole point was that... if your CPU does error in ANY application... then it is NOT considered a perfect overclock. I dont like SP2004 either - I rather use stresscpu too... if there's an error it'll find it quicker... edit: i know people like me who are obssessed about true stability shouldn't be overclocking much in the first place, but yeah, i really disagree with using the term "stable" on a component that runs perfectly fine on virtually all applications except 1 which exposes the slightest sign of instability... |

yes, wasn't clamped down hard enough. Am currently booting to windows at 2900Mhz 1.6v, but it doesn't like SuperPi. Maybe some more fine tuning needed. Downloading PCMark05 now, is that a pretty common benchmark for stability also?
