OK, from what I read and understand, Asus has posted a new official BIOS together with a caption that tells you about the issues/fixes etc etc. AND GUESS WHAT, when running 400MHZ(200FSB) under full load, the FSB reverts to 333Mhz!!!!!!!! What on hell is going on??? I immediately called up Asus tech support, spoke to them and they said it is to assure stability. I am not happy about this...what what do others think about this?? Does DFI Nforce 4 line-up take these sort of "so-called" precautionary measures? Feeling very desponded Well thats with BIOS 1009. At the moment am using 1008.I was looking forward to run my OPTY 170 at high FSBs but the damn asus has planned to reduce the FSB to 333mHz at full load. Someone help me... Oh can anyone explain me about full load crap?? Wonder if they have also done this to convince ppl to buy ASUS SLI A8N32 DELUXE because the rest of the Asus nForce4 products don't seem to take such "measures" and the fact that its the enthusiasts who would have bought Asus SLI Premium. 2. Fix unstable under 400MHz-Single channel issue. 3. Modify DDR max speed from 400MHz to 333Hz when full loading. This clearly means either there is some fault with Asus SLI Premium...or they want to achieve high standards of stability. Now what sort of work can be classified as "Full Load"???? |

| By ArcTan Sorry I meant 200FSB=400MHZ
Why on earth would it revert to 333Mzh speed when I purchased this damn board to sustain a full 400Mzh speed @ full load? |
