I think you really need to swap that 170 for my week 46 Great to see 3GHz so soon but you need to be running 2 x Pi, Prime ect and set affinity using task manager Heres the XS linky regarding dual core patches Did you do a fresh install of windoz so your comp is recognised as " ACPI multiprocessor PC ??? ![]() Also have a look at this thread @ XS all about dual core Opterons |

I'm sure you wouldn't complain if i wanted to swap!Yeah i know i need to stress it more yet and that is planned to be started tomorrow morning, or should i say this morning Thanks for the info and linky, wasnt to sure how to stress test dual cores but was going to read back over Eva's posts anyway for research, but the more info i can get and study the better it will help me test it, im just happy its booting and windows useable at 3GHz , once i get my Ultra-D replaced i will drop it into that and see what it can do.Yes did a fresh install of Winblows, i thought it would be needed for going to dual core but wasn't sure so i did it anyway! |

Yeah i wasn't going to bother with water cooling on it but after i saw how much room was in the case and how easy and neat it would look i just thought why not and got it , was going to go for a twin Rad setup but thought i would just try the single for now and see how it goes, i won't be water cooling the x1600xt so it doesn't need to cool it heaps so i'm hoping the single will be enough.I did have plans on putting the Rad on the inside of the case so it was all internal but i thought it may heat up to much due to lack of cool air surrounding it so i have it on the outside at the back of the case, and it seem's so far to work nicely, i may try it on the inside soon and just see how different it is to the outside temps. Well I was going to do some air runs but because the water cooling gear turned up first i just started putting it all together in the case and before long it was all installed and that was that!

Bit of an update: Ran 2x Sp2004 @ 3GHz but Core 1 crapped out after about 17mins, so i decided to back down to 2.8GHz and start from there and go up. Here is a dual sp2004 run at 2.8: ![]() I did have quite a few things open and running while doing this run so i think it's going pretty good so far. ![]() I have left voltage at 1.375v (BIOS) for now with most settings still on Auto or default, and using the AMD Power Monitor i can make sure both cores are getting 100% use while stressing! Once this run passes the 2hr mark i will up it to 2850MHz and do another 2hr and then keep going up in 50MHz at a time untill i reach max clock, then back down a fraction and start doing some longer and different stress tests! |
